Announcing RetouchPRO Concentrate

I'm pleased to announce a new type of video program from RetouchPRO. It's called "RetouchPRO Concentrate" and each video will have a single presenter concentrating on a single topic. These videos will be shorter than the RetouchPRO LIVE shows, but more densely-packed with information, and also considerably less expensive ($3 for a 3-day rental).

As with RetouchPRO LIVE, the emphasis will be on showing high-end techniques suitable for commercial work. However, these shows will not share RP LIVE's chatty, informal feel and audience participation. RetouchPRO Concentrate will be a concentrated infodump that will have you frequently pausing and rewinding.

Our premier offering is "Andrew Rodney Concentrates on Display Calibration". It is a very deep dive into every aspect of precision calibration for your monitor, a must for professional-level work.

Doug Colwell Senior Member Registered: October 2003 Location: Alberta Posts: 157 users gallery	Got rid of the blue channel, desaturated and selected head, blouse and bg. Adjusted levels on head and started clean-up with mostly clone. Used dodge to redraw glasses in some places, then selected smaller elements for coloring. Once the coloring was done I applied neat image to face and hair, (so many people were mentioning this I finally had to try it out). Re-submitted with some red and yellow added to skin tone. Had another go with clone, burn, dodge and neat image.

Nice job. The cleaning of eyes is excellent. 2 suggestions
1) Try blending an orange layer for skin tones
2) Gaussian blur the selection edges a little more and add noise to background.

Thanks svsg. Re-submitted with a bit more yellow in shadows and mid-tones of skin, (let me know if I'm still out to lunch - these skin tones drive me nuts), blurred edges and added a craquelure filter to bg.

Doug, I like your work on this restoration.
The glasses look great and the color of the frames
make sure they dont stand out too much on Grandmas face.

Great glasses Doug and I like the over all cool tones you put in the retouch. I don't recall who added the fancy earing first but it is a lovely touch. Thanks for this lovley version.
