Most of the repair work to the face was achieved by selecting the damaged parts, then using ‘transform selection tool’ to move the selection to an undamaged part of the face. Copy and paste were then used to slot the new area in place.
By adjusting the opacity and Hue & Saturation it appeared to give a better result than using the patch tool or cloning.
The glasses are a very fragile own design; by creating a new layer and making an oval selection, roughly to the shape required.
Then using the stroke command I made the rims – a bit of shading and rendered lighting effect on the lens.
Background was selected filled and blurred.

Another fine restoration Steve,

I like the skin color, grain in the facial area and the hair.

I couldn’t create glasses from scratch on a new layer if my life depended on it.
And in your last restoration you rebuilt an old roof. Amazing!

Thanks Matt !

The day I'm dreading is when you get a graphics tablet!
What you can do with a mouse is beyond belief . . . If you get a pen I'm giving up !!!

Very nice work Steve, the skin texture and hair looks great. Your glasses are subtle but very realistic.
