Selected the roof and used dodge to even out the dark patches. I thought some of the mess above the roof and thru the breezeway looked like foliage, so I erased some and emphasized the rest by selecting and adjusting levels. Repaired faces (and a few feet) with burn and dodge mostly (selected the 2 breezeway girls and adjusted levels). Went to town with the clone tool. Did contrast enhance with USM 20-50-0 and variations to do the sepia. re-submitted with neat image filter to get a bit more detail showing in those tiny faces.

Excellent Doug.

I agree with you about the foliage, the wispy hanging branches give the photo extra appeal.
Great facial recoveries.
Another Colwell masterpiece.

Great work Doug,

Good facial reconstruction on the breezeway girls and the young ones.
Like your sepia toning and I think you win first prize for the cleanest roof.

Thanks Matt. I've been avoiding re-shingling my shop for a few years now (they look like old socks). This roof was alot easier.

I like the way you've been able to even the tone of the whole photo as well.

I really do like this, I didn't know if it could actually be restored, but all of you have proven that it can be. I know this was a lot of work, Iwould appreciate it if you would send me a higher resolution copy to my e-mail address so I can print it. syble2@sbcglobal.net

This is exceptional, I can see a lot of effort went into this work. The facial reconstruction is very good indeed.
