This is my second attempt at Lori.
Colour this time.
This is one of my favourite photos; she has a sort of haunting beauty.
My original entry needed some general lightening work,
and changes around the chin area.
I would be grateful for some critiques on the colour issues,
as it is a fairly new area to me.

Very natural, subdued coloring Steve, and you've preserved that beautiful skin texture (which you created in your b/w pic) very well. I'm especially impressed with the selection edges which look very clean and smooth even in the large version. Eyes look great too.

Steve, like you this one has haunted me.
I was unhappy with my first attempt and often thought of doing it again.

Your work on the hair is superb.
Eyebrows, eyes and mouth are as good as it gets.

You asked for comments on colour issues.
I think your hair, skin, lip, dress and background colours
are tastefully chosen and enhance this portrait.

There is only one thing I would adjust Steve.
On my monitor Lori’s blue eye colour looks over-saturated.
The strong bright blue jumps out against the skin colour.
Would love to see this great restoration with –50 or more Saturation in Lori’s eyes.

Hope I’m not talking nonsense because my new monitor is un-calibrated.

Matt

Doug, Matt - Thanks for the comments.

Matt I've changed the eyes, I think you were right, looked a bit like glass eyes!
Do either of you know where Alan is lately?

Cheers
