Astonishing work... cool! You repaired everything and gave the goat its shadow back. Simply great.

Wonderful job Matt. Nice work on the grass, hedge and flower pot. The kids look great and the goat washing and grooming looks good (on a city goat). On second look I'm thinking the other capstones (and the stone in the middle of the wall) should be white-ish.

Awesome job, Matt!
I was amazed at the amount of detail you were able to preserve. Trying to sharpen the image acceptably at its original size was near impossible (at least for me), but enlarging the photo first and giving yourself more room for sharpening was a brilliant idea - I wish I'd thought of it! The only suggestion I have would be to include some color variation in the lawn and the brick wall to make them look a bit less "colorized". Excellent restoration!

agree with maestro some variation would look nice. Sometimes I use clouds filter to speed up that process. OVERALL GREAT WORK

Thanks to all for the comments,
I enjoyed coloring this wonderful old photo.
Nearly as much as an earlier challenge with kids - "Dog Day's"
Maestro and Cvandever - I always like suggestions on improving my submissions.
I'll put more variation in large areas of color in future.

Hi...
This is a great restoration. I only hope to be able to learn to do as well.
Just one comment. The children seem to stand out from the background a bit. Maybe a little softening of the outlines would help??

To me this is one tough photo to work on. It looks simple at first but can be hair pulling maddness... You did a great job on it. Cheers

Thanks to all for your comments,
ckc108 - I too thought this was going to be a fast restoration.
I was wrong. It's always hard going on blurred photos.

Ooh! Pretty! I love it colorized like this. Isn't that picture cool? I love that a goat's pulling their cart. Ha! We need a goat at our house, I think! Anyway, , wonderful job! -Meg
