First, I split the image into its component RGB channels, and kept the blue one. After doing some tonal corrections and repair with the clone tool, I then colorized each element in the picture. On the brick wall, I used the layer's blend slider to allow the dark bricks to show through without (much) color. After reading the instructions on the original image, I desaturated the girl's dress in hopes of making the coloring more authentic to the actual scene. (this is a revised version)

Great work Phillip,

It's good to see another in color.
I like the orange and yellow on the cart.
It was hard do a good job on that blown out building behind the kids.
The colors you've chosen work so well with this photo.

Wow! This is a great example of making the best of what you have. Hard to believe the before/after. I may give this one a shot and see what working with just one channel will do. Super job!
