Excellent job Matt as always, the cake is a real tour-de-force. Re-arranging the crockery is definitely the way to go, the table would have looked too empty otherwise. Cropping the shot really gave it better balance.

I like how you have rearrange the table to get rid of the clutter. Nice job. You make the picture look so symmetrical. Bravo.

Cvandever, Timbo and Wayne,
Thanks for the comments.
Wayne, this retouch still has a pinkish cast to it.
I kept the cast in the hope that it would look a bit like
a 1950 era photo where the color had faded.

Very, very, very niceley done! I am so jealous of your cake! I couldn't tell what was what when i tried to fix it......
Anyway, I hope you don't think I am being too picky, but is there anyway you can try brightening up the skintones? They just seem a bit muddy to me....could just be my monitor though.....

Thanks PixiePirate,
Trying to repair that blown out blurred mess that was a cake was a nightmare.
There were a quite a few times I thought of pasting in a new cake.
Re the skin tones - I threw a quickmask around the couples faces and lightened them a little. You were right, it was an improvement.
