Doug Colwell Senior Member Registered: October 2003 Location: Alberta Posts: 157 users gallery	When I finished this it struck me that Elizabeth wouldn't look out of place hosting MTV - she was a real looker, and she's got that modern hair-do and campy clothes thing going on. Used Flora's 'Enhancing Details In Unevenly Faded Pictures' tutorial (channel mask method on blue channel) twice to recover the faded eye, nose and lip details, and masked and painted out the areas that got too dark. Did a slight levels adjust. Smoothed the skin with a masked, gausian blurred layer. Clean-up with clone, dodge and burn, and a little sharpening with neat image filter.

Fine work Doug,
This is one hell of a hard restoration.
Good work on the face, dress and background.
Think I'll miss this one. It reminds me too much
of "Bary" which I just couldn't restore.

Very nice job, Doug! The facial details look great - I especially appreciate the fact that she has discernable eyebrows in your version. I have to take a look at Flora's tutorial!

Thanks Matt and Joe. Joe, if you try the channel mask method you might have to do a 'select inverse' after making your selection.

Nice detail work, Doug. The eyes are very well done. Very soft and pretty.
