Selected right eye and pasted into left. Ditto for the ears. Cloned the jacket. Selected and pasted onto a different background. Merged and applied a slight sepia tone.

Great job with damage and smoothing. Tones and sepia look good too. The only problem I see are the clone tracks on the background.

Thank you Doug and Pjb....I'm very encouraged by your comments. Actually Doug, the background isn't the same as the original. I extracted him and placed on a new background which wasn't quite as seamless as it should be.

I like the framing and background. I agree about the smudging.....just a tad over-the-top ;-) It's all a learning curve. I think I may have worked a bit more on the blurry bits down the left hand side of his face (our right). Apart form that, I like it.

I agree re smudging Timbo....I'd gone too far, took too long and just had to let it go this time.
