She was so cute, I thought she'd make a good little pixie

1. Extracted Allison from her background.

2. Took mushroom photo, extracted mushroom, cut and pasted back on original.

3. Copied Allison and feathered her 3 px. Pasted Allison behind stem and in front of original mushroom jpg.

4. Copied and pasted left side of her head and pasted in right, erased as much as I could and redrew a bit of the hair so it wouldn't match exactly.

5. Tried to 'unsmoosh' her face by sampling colors and painting, cloning just a tiny bit.

6. Used Burn tool to make shadows on her head under the mushroom.

7. Went around the outline of her with the eraser set about 12% opacity and erased the outline a few times to blend in more...look less like a cutout.

Heh heh, nice job. "unsmoosh" using painting is a real skill..........I wish I was that good. You've done a great job. If I had done this the only thing I would change is to stretch the mushroom stem to make it look less as if it was hanging in the air. (That's just a personal thing you understand) Great description, I must admit I use 6 & 7 in the same way sometimes.

Good point, Timbo- that is the actual stem, and the original mushroom picture crop, but it does appear to be sort of hanging there, doesn't it? Thanks for the comment
