This was more tricky than I first thought, because Keane uses light and shadow and pastel pinks for an exraordinary picture.
First I created a second layer (I always do this to save time in case I can't go back far enough when I make a mistake!!)
Then copy eyes to new layer.
Then copy eye balls to new layer
Distort eyes and eyeballs individually, making sure of the thin white line under the eyeballs. (paint in white where needed)
Then Painted blue/black eye maskara around the eyes (in new layer, so it is easier to blurr and fade to get things just right)
Then painted pink cheeks onto the copy layer, with very low opacity pink (15%).
Then I needed the shadow and light patch around the nose. So I created another layer, made a black ellipse around the head, gausian blurred and reduced opacity until it was shadow-like. Errased the new shadow around the nose and tops of the cheeks using soft edged brush. Then (as with Keane) I burnt across the centre of the eyes and nose a little.
Then I used the smudge stick filter on all but a copy layer of the eyes. Finally reduced the opacity of the copy layer of the eyes to try to blend a little with the rest of the picture................phew.
This was a tough one, and I'm still not happy with it. In Keane's pictures the eyes almost always look at you, but this was impossible with this particular shot.

This is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like a painting. The pose is excellent and retains the soleful expression of Keane's work even without the eyes looking directly at you. Very professional.

I see you noticed that triangular shadow as well. It is really fun examining someone's work to pick out the traits that makes it "their work" Great job, really well done.
