Photo Art # 6
a la Cezanne
When I saw Lorraine's contribution, I felt that her work is definitely Cezanne-like. I didn't feel there any need to contribute. But hey, this is a challenge, not a contest. So here's my contribution. It may not be like Cezanne, but I liked the final result.
First, I used dry brush filter (brush size 1, detail 10, texture 1).
Second, I used paint daub filter (brush size 19, sharpness 3, brush type - light rough).
Thirdly, I used pallette knife filter (stroke size 50, stroke detail 3, softness 0).
Next, I used sponge filter. Then, smudge stick filter (stroke lenght 2, highlight 0, intensity 10).
Lastly, I used poster edges.
At this point, the image is blotchy and too contrasty.
Using art history brush I removed some of the contrast, smoothed out the colors simulating oil painting.

Angue, I like your end result also, VERY much I'm glad you decided to contribute, I would hate to think of being cheated out of such a beautiful submission I'm going to have to check out the art history brush, thanks.

You hit the nail on the head. Art is in what pleases you, the artist. However, in this case, it also pleases me very much. That is really beautiful. The rich shadows and bright colorful highlights really make for a pleasing picture. i l also liked the texture of the paint daub filter. Nice effect. Excellent!!!!

Very nice work, Angue.

I like the textures and outlines you've achieved.
I hope that you'll always submit your work because everyone's styles and approaches are unique and inspiring to the others here.

Lorraine
