My goal with this photo was to make the setting as believable as possible. I found a photo taken at a very popular tourist site near home. It looked like a place that he might visit. I added him to the scene at Cornwall bridge then converted both photos to greyscale. I din't like the grayscale so I changed back to RBG and did a hue saturation change. The background looked too sharp compared to Uncle Willard so I did a lens blur. I also added noise to better match the grainy look of the original. After I flattened, I added noise to both. I am not totally satisfied because the lighting does not seem to be coming the right way. I may do a new attempt and perhaps flip him horizontally.

Looking at the major shadows under the gable roof and on the roadside posts I'd say you matched the light source perfectly. Great integration (tones and grain) of Willard and bg. The picture you found was lacking only one thing ... Uncle Willard.
