I love fixing faces! Maybe I should have been a plastic surgeon!
I used Healing brush and clone tool on blemishes and some scratches.
Used adjustment layer-levels to bring out contrast. Clone and darken/lighten brush on damaged eye. Also some "hand" drawing to fix eye.
Selected background, add some to top, did a fade from left to right to bring out contrast. That also helped with the right ear.
Adjustment layer: Brightness/Contrast on whole pic
Tried to airbrush some depth into the left arm area. I didn't want to mess with the texture of the photo.

Your bg treatment makes a huge improvement on this photo, and is one of the few that doesn't fall short around the shoulder straps. The care you took in preserving the texture really gives this restoration alot of character. Very well done.

You did a really nice job of repairing the creases but keeping a natural old look and
retaining the character and charm.
Nice job.

I like how you kept the over all texture. It really retains the old photo look.

this is a beautiful restore. to me, it's perfect. i like that you concentrated on simply fixing it back to the way it was originally, rather than making adjustments that would change it from what it was.
