Now that I look at this again, it's a bit too dark for Cezanne, and it needs some raggedy edge work, so, as it is, it really doesn't look that much like Cezanne's style, but, hey, it's a painting at least! My first! And I will consider that a small victory, since up till two days ago I had never dared to try "art" with Photoshop. So I will keep this as a first effort, and, hopefully, watch myself improve with time.
God I love this site! Bless you, Doug, for doing this! Such a wonderful learning experience!

What a lovely painting! I really like the background you created! It picks up all the colors in the fruit perfectly. Excellent job!

I agree, the background is very pretty...
it seems a little too neat to be Cezanne...but what do I know...
These challenges are rather difficult, I think...to create or to recreate art seems rather difficult.

I know you can do it.
Did you say this is your first painting? NO WAY.
Very much like an oil painting

Love that background. I think that really makes the Ce'zanne look come out and the brush strokes in the fruit look real good also. Amazing, you're a real natural at this.

Personally, I think it's very Cezanne, though I can see how it might be seen as too "neat" (but I like that). Except for that little slice of fruit, you couldn't tell it was photo-based.
It is a bit dark, but not really overall, just the darkest tones. And they may look grand on the original.

Beautiful use of color and brush strokes. Great transformation fo photo into painting. I know what you mean about re-constructing what you did. When using filters this can often be impossible since many variations are tried.
Nicely done!

Nice strokes! Perhaps it's not entirely cézannelike but it is a bona fide painting for me. Till now I haven't mastered a paintlike stroke myself and with you not knowing what you did precisely this secret is perhaps now lost for humanity :d

This is beautiful. It looks like a nice art piece...not a photo.
I like the brush strokes on the pear. It's not as fine as the other fruit.
I like the comination.

To my eyes -- a very professional looking work. The right most fruit's reflection on the tabel top is so effective -- as are the curved brush details on the sides of the fruits. Take a bow! If I could do that I'd be happy!
