This is my first post and attempt at a restoration on this forum. I of course used the cloning tool and healing brush extesively. I used the median filter with a layer mask to soften some of the skin tones. I spent most of my 4 hours trying to preserve the details in the face so the restored image looked restored and not altered. Thanks for your comments

This my big problem area I get off in never never land and lose the original look.

Stephenz, congrats on a fine job on your first restoration project! A very good job on your first try! I do think the skin tones are a bit blotchy and would benefit from some smoothing. It is tricky to do without going overboard, as I can attest!

Thanks all for your comments. You've inspired me to do better. Some of these restorations are quite good to say the least. Is anyone doing this professionally or is this all just for the challenge?
