Restoration Challenge #75

Hi, this is my first attempt at this kind of restoration. I learned a lot, and mostly I learned I need to learn a lot more.

Mainly I used the clone tool, copying and moving better sections over the rips. I started with the faces and then worked my way out to the edges. when I had a large section of the wall on the left I copied it and then blended it in.

I also lightened with the curves adjustment.
There is a ton a texture I didn't know how to get rid of.
To make it look neater I put a new edge around it.

Really good clean-up of all the cracks, and terrific work on the family (especially the faces!) The dodge and burn tools (at a low opacity) are my favorites for evening out light and dark patches, but I like clone (or sometimes pattern fill) for textures.

Thanks Doug for the reply. I used the dodge and burn tools a little on the womans face.
