Began with RGB level adjustment to brighten colors of original photo.
Using the original photo, copied and pasted good parts of the brick, windows, chimney and the roof. Used transform tools (distort, skew, perspective) to fit the new parts into the photo. Also adjusted levels and hue/saturation to blend colors.
Found separate photos of the porch, bay windows, snow and stone path. Copied and pasted those into original. Transformed them to fit. Erased parts of each photo to blend them in with the original photo. Made levels and hue/saturation adjustments to blend those items.
Icicles were made by smudging the edges of the snow with #3 and #1 brushes set at 97% opacity.
Added wreaths and garland from other photos. Adjusted levels and size to fit.
Copy/merged all layers and duplicated the merged layer. Set the duplicate to multiply blend mode to darken photo. Erased portions of the multiply layer as necessary to create shadows and highlighting.
Airbrushed smoke coming from chimney. Also airbrushed color for window lights, some pink tones in the background and what's supposed to be lighting on the porch. The colorization layers were set to overlay blend mode, varying opacities.
Copy/merged final layers. Duplicated that copy and sharpened the duplicate. Lowered the opacity of the sharpened copy. Merged layers to create final copy.

I love your additions to this pic. The front porch, wreaths, and icicles really make this standout. You really made this sad house into one I would be happy to spend the holidays in.

Ooooh very nice. I love the seamless way you put that porch on the front...especially the way the roof ties into the main roof. The snow on the roof looks great as well and the icicles are a fine touch. I think they're a bit too much the same though...perhaps some smaller ones or some more irregular spacing. The walkway (which has obviously been shoveled by some poor soul) looks very natural in the snowy lawn and gives an inviting lead up to the front porch. Good choice of windows and tasteful decorations too.
