A first juvenile attempt...
Drew a squiggly line about 1/2 inch thick with a slight feathered brush
Feathered the line till just a bare wisp was visible.
Added transparency to just about 20%
Then did the ripple filter till it looked good.
Made a copy, flipped it horizontal and did ripple again.
Did this some 25 times flipping and adding ripple to every layer as I went.
Did a little gaussian blur to a couple of randomly selected layers.
Then selected each layer and randomly distorted... pushed..pulled and rotated ...
Finally dulplicated all layers and combined the duplicates.
Reduced the width of this layer till it was about as thick as at the base of the
smoke, and added a gentle ripple again.
Put in the cigarette. Too much smoke for a cigarette... but we wanted smoke
