My first attempt
Drew the entire car in CorelDraw.
Imported it piece by piece into Corel Photopaint.
Noise, G-Blur, Blend, Dodge, Burn worried it into reasonable shape.
(I cheated on the wheels... made one and copied them for the other two :d
Worked a mesh out in CorelDraw for the radiator grill.
Replaced the right fender with the left one... (the old one looked banged up :d
The shadow under the car is a simple rectangle tweaked into shape, gaussian blurred, and added transparency.
Whole thing took a whopping 12 hrs and 2 packs of Benson & Hedges  ) .... A Sunday
well spent. I learnt a lotta stuff.
Finally realised I had left out the little hinge like thing on the hood.. between
the two small lights. duh no one will notice... 
MAN NEAR WINDOW
1. Make copy of Image
2. Enhance image with histogram equalization
3. Outline path around him.
4. Create mask from path
5. Mask reduce by 1 pixel
6. Copy n Paste over
7. Adjust tone curve to make darker
8. Set Merge mode to Screen
9. Create one more copy
10. Dust n Scratch copy
11. Move below original
12. Erase face in copy to retain original detail
13. Clone touchup introducing a little clothing detail ...
This guy needs more work..either to lazy, or gave up on him.... :d
BACKGROUND
Then I got into a hurry and motion blurred the walls and roof in the direction of
the lines.
The road, made a copy then added noise, gaussian blurred and did a little motion
blur too.
Then made a copy of it and gave it the cracked earth effect , stretched it for a
reasonable perspective, given the hurry i was in....thought it would pass for
cobblestones Gave it a transparency to let the grain show thru.
On inspiration added the lights. (The guy is showing off his car... :d so why not
have the lights all on!! :d
Well, what do you think??

Thanx Doug and Corel, the only steroids I am on are the great reviews guys like you post. I hope you guys will be equally hard criticising work too.
As a newbie on here, I'm a little hesitant to post my comments, afraid I might irk someone...
A single line of healthy criticism is worth more than a whole page of admiration.
I guess we are all here to learn stuff, not to bag a line of admirers..
I do not mean to offend anyone...If I am out of line, my sincere apologies... else Get your pins and needles out :d
And then, Doug, Corel and anyone else... if you agree with me I shall practice what I'm preaching on you :d ... Do I have your permission?? :d

I think you'll find that most here are not shy to point out a problem or two, but also like to balance their criticism with a bit of praise. You're more than welcome to critique my stuff (my irk threshold is fairly high). If you're really craving criticism, you might also try the 'Critiques Forum' here. If I had to find a nit-pick about your great restore I'd suggest that the paving stones should be the same size along the horizontal.

Doug !! :teeth: I'll be damned!! I've spent hours staring at this pic when I was working on it. Knowing 'something' wasnt right with them cobblestones, but never being able to pin it down. You scored a bullseye on that!! Thanx mate.. :teeth: I might never get down to correcting that error... but now I sure can RIP, thanx again to you :up:
