Brand new here. Discovered this sight a few weeks back. Love it! This is my first time using photoshop for anything but digital photo fixes or titles for video projects. I had no idea of what PS could do with really nasty photos. This was a fun project and a big exploration in patience for me. I had fun and am hooked. Can't wait to read some tutorials and try some more projects.
Anyways, -major curves/levels adjustments -greyscaled, saved as, reopened and dragged below original to address the purple haze left on whites -much healing and cloning -many overlays and multiplys with selections and transparencies -pulled some selections to new layers to make use of drop shadows -struggled mightily with her face and still am nor pleased -forgot to move the cake. Sorry. Thanks to all who run this sight! It is cool.

Fine re-touch for a first attempt Somtim,
You sure picked a tough one to start with.
The table was a blurred mess. I can see all the work put into every item on it.
The reflections and shadows work well on the colorful table.
I like the background repair and muted color.
Gail’s face looks a little dark and saturated on one side.
But you said you struggled with her face.
Matt
