Submitted by Debbi Tognietti:
"This photo was taken right after my husband got out of boot camp and 2 days before we got married. This was take 17 years ago when I was 17 and he was 20. This was his favorite photo. Last year, I tried to retouch it as a gift for him. It came out pretty good for what I could do. But after seeing what others could do, I would love for someone to else to work with it. This was taken with a Polaroid and it is the only one and it has a lot of sentimental value. We both would love to have it framed and are excited to see what the pros can do."
Challenge: Restore this photo. Description mandatory
Do your best to restore "Fatigued", and post the results here using the following guidelines:

- Attach your file as an 800 pixel wide JPG file, compressed so that the overall file is under 200k (this usually means 60% compression).

As always, there are no winners, no losers, no prizes, only a sharing and learning opportunity for everyone.
How you restore and how much you restore is up to you, as long as you fulfill the Challenge. Have fun, and good luck!

Hi! Debbie
Do you have a photo showing your eyes?

Nick – You read my mind on this one.
Debbie - Your eyes are the most difficult part of this challenge.
The eye damage was severe on all RGB channels.
It is practically impossible to accurately restore your eyes
from the limited information available in this photo.
The eyes are such a vital area it’s a shame to leave them to guesswork.
If you were to select your eyes from an undamaged photo and do a cut and paste into one corner of this photo and re-submit. Members could do a much better job on the eyes.

I submitted another photo. I didn't have one when I was that age, so I had to use a current one. I hope that works. Thanks in advance for all your hard work. I am looking forward to seeing the final photo.

Debbie,
It looks like a book or something is being held in front of you. Could you explain what it is?
Thanks,
Carey
