All I can say is that I tried. A couple of things. Her Left eye become more visible when I copied the blue channel to the clipboard and pasted it in a new layer and set the blending mode to luminosity. It turns out using the red channel in the same manner helped his eye some. Copying the overexposed uniforms and using multiply blending mode helped. And of course there were many areas I had no idea what could be done. The Posting of the eyes did help considerably.
