I first lab colored my picture and took the L channel for my grayscale reference. I then cut around the face of Rooselvelt and copied it as a new image and value masked my image over Teddy. I rotate-mapped stretched and contorted my face to match Teddy's face as close as possible and merged layers (not flattened them). I then copied the resulting layer over the original and aligned it to where it needed to be. I erased any imperfections for blending. Per Janet, I too had a hard time color/texture matching the face. I first tried crosshatch (via PS) and bumpmaped the image for depth, but the colors were still all wrong. I final merged the layers anyway, and then I did the following. I used texture swatches from George and copied them over selected areas of my face. Then I copied some of the right side wall to my left check for color matching reasons. I merged all layers and voila. Hope you all like it.
