If there is any way to boost a man's spirits (and ego), it would be to have a oil rendered painting done with him in mind. Bush (along with all the other presidents) will have one done some day, but until then, here is a rendered oil of him. I pretty much used the vector process and textured mapping techniques found here, so I won't rehash: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/179383. I did add PS angled brush strokes to the process though. As an afterthough, I also added a canvas texture to the middle lightened colors; I think I did alright with it, but I should have added this earlier in my process. Anyway, this small version doesn't even come close to expressing the texture and details of this rendering, so I uploaded the big picture here (thanks to ImageShack): http://img152.exs.cx/img152/1340/1mramericaoil4cz.jpg

Thanks for the reply Janet. When I get a decent job, I do plan on purchasing Painter and a Wacom. I think that a few good hand touches to my rendering process would really make these look like oil/acrylic paintings.

Ikroll, I HIGHLY recomend you invest in both tools. The tablet has been a wonder for me and allows for soo much more latitude in art development. As for Painter, well, it's simply a Kickazz platform.
Cheers!
