Well I changed my mind and decided to participate. As many others did, I deleted the red channel (all black anyway) and on the blue channel, I did a color select on the divers leg and copied that selection into the red channel. I then blended 50% of the green channel into the red channel as well. I then duplicated the layer and used the color selector to select the color just under the top diver and used this color to convert colors to alpha. I adjusted the opacity to 60% and flattened all layers. This step gives some added contrast. I then duplicated the layer three times and created a reddish sepia layer for the center layer. I copied (not pasted yet) the center layer and then erased the colors around the divers leg on the top layer. I then adjusted the opacity of the center layer until I was happy with the divers legs. I then flattened all layers. I then pasted the sepia layer on top and set the property to overlay. I adjusted the opacity to taste and flattened all layers. I then duplicated the layer and autoleveled the top layer. I adjusted the opacity to taste and flattened the layers. Still a little magenta in the horizon, but overall I'm happy with it.
