Used a picture I took from a cruise this winter.... yes I was in the bar!
Did a lasso on the bear copy and pasted into my picture.
Used erase tool to take out the unwanted edges.
Then new layer blend mode = soft light paint brush = black and painted in the shadows on the bear. The callout is from Word -- yes MS Word (I am sooooo ashamed). Copy and paste into PS opacity down a tad, then added text.

The blending of the bear is perfect. Works great with the picture!
