I first cropped the photo and then proceeded to repair the damage with the clone stamp, healing brush, and patching tool.

To correct color I used a levels adjustment layer, and adjusted each color channel until the color looked better. I also used hue/sat, and curves. I used the blur tool to even out some of the uneven grainy areas.

I selected some areas that were showing blue and yellow casts and adjusted with hue and saturation. I also used the burn and dodge tool to do some tweaking. I used the sponge tool to saturate and desaturate some trouble spots.

Fine work Cathy,
The tighter crop makes it easier to focus on the main subjects.
The girls face looks great.

Clean and clear restoration. Crop and bg edits make for a balanced family portrait.
