Nice work Matt. I know what you mean about this being a tough one. Your car came out great.

I like the new straightened windows in the background. I think you have brought out the details in the windows reflection as well. I don't know abt the face though but overall NICE!

Thanks Cathy - The car came out better than I dared hope for.
Ckc108 – I like the straightened background better than the sloped original.
I know the face of the driver is a bit iffy.
I enlarged the original and tried everything to get some more detail
in the facial area. But couldn’t find enough pixels to work with.

Hi Matt
You really are tireless in your restorations!
The attention to detail is superb.
I've tried this one, managed the car but gave up on the background.
I couldn't restore it - let alone reconstruct it.
Well done Matt - beautiful clean car.

Super clean, very realistic restore Matt. Car looks right-on. Store front, windows and road look freshly photographed. The only problem I see with the faces is that some of the mouths (as in the orig.) are barely visible. I'm not really convinced I'd have noticed a face problem if it hadn't been mentioned. Well done!

Thanks for the comments Steve and Doug,
I was hoping to see more submissions on this challenge.
There was work on every inch of this challenge.
Perhaps some of the members are still working on it.

Thanks for the comments Vijayan and Lioth,
I wasn't going to do this restoration but am glad I did.
I love interesting old photos from the early 1900s.

Most excellent work getting such clean lines and detail on the car. I was starting to wonder if you were using the same original! lol Terrific job!

Very neat work, Matt. I really liked the way you handled the background area, especially the darker ones. The way you have reconstructed the background is amazing.

Thanks for the comments Mark and Krishna,
Krishna - I was happy with the way the background came out.
In some previous restorations I over-restored damaged backgrounds.

Thanks for the comment RestaurArt,
It makes me tired just thinking of all the cloning in this restoration.
