I think you did a very nice job. I blurred the background on mine also to try to hide some of the damage. You and Matt did a great job on the car.

Great job on the car Steve. Huge improvement on the gritty original.
There appeared to be something at the base of the doors.
But I just couldn't work out what it was.
I like your decision to add reflection to the doors.
I think it looks better than having all the same color.
Agree with your thoughts about the head banging background.
I spent twice as much time on it as I did on the boys and car.
It should have been the other way around.
I wonder who the men are? Maybe its the Sheriff and his deputies?

Looks like you went thru a few tins of polish on this one Steve, that car looks 'show-room'! Good call on keeping the used tires. The bg work looks good and the lens blur works well to show off the car and occupants, but maybe un-blurring the foreground would help ground the car a bit?

Cathy Matt and Doug
Thanks for the comments!
Matt - I dont know who the guys are! But does anyone know what the car is?
I had a search on the net and the nearest I could find was a Chevy circa 1912.
I'm sure someone will stand me corrected.
Doug: Tins of polish !!! - I've got a blunt stylus and a hole in my tablet now!
I'm trying to change the foreground a bit as per your comments.
I think I will have to call you Hawkeye from now on. (always constructive though)
Doug: When's yours going to appear ???

I like the approch. well issolated the object and kept the bg out. but, as Doug said , more focus on the forground may give a natural feeling.....

Vijayan - Thanks for the comments.
I don't get much time now to devote to the site.
If I can, I will alter the submission and follow your's and Doug's suggestions.
I admire all your work and your comments are much appreciated.

They certainly are a grim looking bunch, but you've given them a great looking vehicle to ride around in. It looks a treat! Well done.
When working on this, it took me a second and third look to work out whose hand was on the passenger's knee. It finally was the thumb that decided it! Unless of course the passenger side guy has a most unusual right hand.
