Not sure what dept this officer was with, but my guess is that most officers in dress blues had uniforms that were a dark blue, almost grey-blue.

Likewise I believe most depts had silver buttons not gold, that being said, that is what I went with.

Just a hint of color, tried to keep some of the texture as to not take away any age.

Nice repair work, Mike. Since you put a slight tint on the uniform, it might give it a more finished look if you also tinted the face with some skin tones. Good job.

Really good work Mike. The damage was fixed flawlessly, (with no apparent copy/flips), and the textures are nicely preserved/recreated. Agree with Cathy about maybe adding a hint of tint to skin.

I really like how you darkened the background on this. I have some old pics that I am working on that have a really washed out background and would like to know how you did this.
