Experimented with the channels and found out that the difference between red and blue channel had a good correlation to the defects. Used this as a mask to lower the levels of the light spots in the red channel and raise the levels of the dark spots in the blue channel. Used polaroid dust and scratches to further enhance red and blue channel.
Color correction with levels. Used the result as color information.
Luminance information was constructed with the original data but with blue channel replaced with the green channel. Used median and gaussian blur to remove paper texture.
Blended with color information.
