First I looked at the channels and determined that the green had the most image information, I copied that channel and pasted it on it's own layer. Then I spent a lot of time with the healing brush, patch tool, and clone stamp tool. I decided not to restore the background, and created a new one using the clouds filter.

I like the feel you got with this. It is soft and still has the old photo look.

I really enjoyed working on this image, she was such a beautiful woman!
I should have kept the original background, but I didn't want to take the time to restore it. I may go back and do that when I have the time.
