i viewed all the images here in this challenge and didnt see but one or two i'd consider 'impressionist'. but, like doug said, there seems to be a bit of a debate on this.
so, here's my attempt.

hi cathy,
thank you 
oddly enough, i used the impressionist plugin.  dont recall the various settings. since this is the first time i've ever really used it for anything, it was pretty much hunt and peck to find the look i wanted. great plugin.
