lovely woman. i'm such a sucker for long dark hair...ok, and short blonde hair....and medium red hair... and women truly, a really beautiful woman. and actually glad she's not a blonde

retouch included layers for cloning, fixing contrast and color balance, and background. some selections for adding noise here and there.

Your right... You don't get noticed on the bottom line!
This is a good retouch, teeth eyes skin all well done.
I'm not sure about the background, it's just personal preference - but for me it draws my attention away from the good work that you have done on the face.
I think the others were so busy retouching and uploading their submissions, that you got pushed down before anyone noticed.
There's probably a lesson to learn there somewhere!!!

yes, the background was sort of an experiment of mixing patterns to get something new. perhaps i shld do another with a different background and get on the top of the list
