AdaoMalem Junior Member Registered: August 2002 Location: pittsburgh,pa Posts: 6 users gallery	Using photoshop 5.5 Layer1, original Layer2, copy layer then image/adjust/ desaturate, used selective color to get rid of greens and blues. Layer3,selected the head copied then used curves to adjust. Layer 4, retouched spots at 50, and or 20% Layer 5, copied good piece of lace brought it up in a new file, made full piece of lace , by coping, flipping, erasing. Brought that on to layer5 6-15- transformed lace to follow direction, kept lace at 75% hit with airbrush @ 20% to give depth 17- made hands 18-made shadows and highlights for picture using airbrush at 5-15% 19- flattened took and extracted subject out, made new layer new layer, gradient tool, add noise add subject new layer oval fill with gray make new oval and cut to matte new layer fill with black flatten black with oval cut matte arrange layers, black, then oval cut out , and then subject flattened

Welcome aboard Adao. Excellent job throughout. The new matte gives it just enough tones to make it pop. Super job on the dress too.

Excellent job cleaning this one up and also adjusting the lighting and folds on the gown. Cloning in lace sections has fulfilled the requirement to emphasize this part of the photo - well done.

The fingers of the baby's left hand are "shortened". Part of the wood on the left chair arm has been cleaned away as has the crown of the chair back - easy to do if youre zoomed in too close.

Hi, thanks for the comments. This photo took a little over two hrs. My first for curves and make something new from photo (lace) to put into the photo. Thank you Tom, great eye for detail, I'll be sure to watch for little things like that and not to zoom to close, which i normally do. Thanks again.

An excellent painterly version. Reminds me a bit of some of Wanda Schwind's early work here (not a bad thing).

Chair seems too photographic compared to the rest, and the cropping makes the dress more important than the baby.
