I finally finished my try at this !
Not sure how long it took but the most amount of time was adding the missing feet. I’m still not happy.
My approach was pretty much the same, but my style is to keep it looking all grainy and just like it was accept fixed. Ok its B/W not sepia.
Duplicated layer and cloned and cloned and healed and cut bit from hear and pasted and reconstructed with more healing and cloning.
The most noticeable changes were under the book, i lightened this area by cloning across some dress and reconstructed the bench so it looked like it could take two children sitting on it.

Thanks very much i have tried a few others in fact one user allowed me to use this image on my website www.image-restore.co.uk which was very nice of him.
