See, that one is better.

You say that even though you blurred it less, it still looks a bit painted, well maybe you should use even less blur or use different kind of blur (maybe one that saves edges, experiment here), or you could just use soften brush

There is a good tutorial about skin smoothing somewhere on this site.
If you're going to do another try of this baby, I have one more suggestion - add one 'light dot' into the right eye so that it matches left.
