I will tell you how I colored the hat repeat the steps for all other colored objects on the picture (shirt, pants, wood, hands and face)
Select the hat with one of the selection tools example the lasso tool
create a new layer and apply a mask in the shape of a hat using the selection
Fill layer in with a color and turn the layer to overlay blending mode
The last thing to do is to adjust the opacity to your liking
