As a diver I have a special trick to get more out of my uw-photos. I copy the picture to a new layer, use Filter->Blur->Average on that resulting in a blue-green solid color.
This color I inverse and turn the layer style to overlay. Might need to be repeated or lessend in opacity to become just right.
So with this picture I:

Changed curves
Adjusted levels
Put in two of my uw-filters described above
Brightness/contrast filter
NeatImage filter
Flattened and sharpened somewhat
Cropped, took away a little bit to the left.

Also as a diver, I like to keep the underwater world looking like it does... with mostly blues and greens, even though I really like other interpretations as well. =)

I had another picture with shadows around the edges, but I wasn't happy with it so I changed to this one.
