Added an adjustment layer for hair, set it to multiply, 40% opacity. The psd file pops more - still getting used to the muting that 'save for web' seems to do.

I think she looks better with darker hair Lurch,
I know what you’re saying about compressing
a 1220 wide psd to a jpg. under 200k.
You end up with a restoration full of nasty jpg artifacts.
I reduced my restoration to 700-800 wide
before squeezing it under 200k with “save for the web”.
That way there is less compression.
And at 800 wide artifacts are less visible.

I like the dark hair better too. Many thanks for the tip on reducing image size before compression. I'm going to use that advice regularly.
