Nice job, Squggle, on a deceptively difficult restore. I liked that you were able to bring out Mildred's eyes.

I like it squggle

It is an absolute mess of a photo and 'Mildred's' face has so little content to be able to work with. It hadn't ocurred to me to remove the alcove and decoration in the background. The way you have done it works so well and leaves what I feel is an intimate portrait of a long married, contented twosome.

It feels smooth, the folds of her dress hang beautifully, and I particularly like the tone of the sepia.

Thanks for giving this photo a go.

I first attempted this six months ago, and staggered away wishing that Photoshop had a plugin to count every clone and healing tool hit per file .. it'd be pretty amazing I think.
