Created background and ran texture filter using "rust flakes". Render lighting filter on this layer
Created the four boxes, added texture. Ran another lighting effects. Added drop shadow layer and another layer to catch the highlights on the opposite sides of the shadow. (very subtile 1 pixel highlight)

i like the gradients you've used along with the drop shadows, gives it a floating feel.. very cool
