Photo Art Challenge #8

Opened Image and Duplicated it.

Layer > New > adjustment Layer > Levels … 5,2.15,245.

I’m going to add fill- flash to the Hunter on the left. Duplicate the image, then image > adjust > desaturate. Next image > adjust > invert. Now return to the first duplicated image and select the Hunter. Select Layer > New > Layer Via Copy. Then go to Edit > Fill … select 50% Gray, Mode … Color Dodge and check Preserve Transparency. Click OK. Adjust to opacity

I copied the Hunter and Deer from the web, desaturate it, selected it and saved the selection. Then I moved it into the image. Positioned and sized the Hunter and Deer with Free Transform. Used a Levels adjustment to adjust brightness.

Copied the Winter Sky from the web, desaturated and adjusted for brightness. Selected > All … then Edit > Copy. Went to our first duplicated image and selected the sky with the Magic Wand Tool … then to Edit > Paste into. This pasted the Winter Sky into the image.

Flattened.

You have achieved an amazing 3D look to the photo, changing the whole emphasis of of it.

Very, very creative approach, Don. The additional elements really add interest, _expecially_ the subtle rainbow and slight (but not overly done) tinting.

A definite winner.

My favorite part is how you extended the deer outside the frame border for a 3D look. Real nice effect.
