Oh, that's funny! It looks so believable too. Shhh...I don't think he sees the balloon yet...maybe it will get away!

That was my intention. I really didn´t want the balloon to get hurt. But funny? I think it´s scary. Just think of what would happen if the man looks in an other direction before the... Oh no!

I ditto Wanda's "Wow!"
Fantastic concept and fabulous execution. Water and shadows are exceptional.
Well done.

Now that's a whole new way of fishing. You can hold up a whole school that way. All kidding aside, it's really very good. That water really looks realistic. Gotta Love that Flaming Pear filter. It sure comes in handy sometimes.

This is nice! The picture's great - the shadow is perfect. Kinda skimpy explanation - would've liked to have known how you did the shadow.
99 luftballoons to you...

I did the shadow with the Flaming Pear Flood filter, the same as I used to make the water. The filter renders waves and ripples, and also reflects the things above the horizon. To make a shadow of something in the middle of the water - as this balloon hunter - you have to mask him and have him on a separate layer. Then after having applied the Flood filter on the background reflecting the sky, you use the same presets on the object that should be out in the water.

Don't know why a guy holding a rifle would be wading around in the water unless he were duck hunting. That's what the dog is for. You could have put a fly fish rod in his hands instead of a rifle.
