1. adjusted levels
2. ran picture through noiseware
3. then did LOTS & LOTS of cloning.
4. straightened image
5. added new border
6. submitted

OK, I'm totally in awe. So far, I've worked about 4 hours on this, and I'm not even half done. The clarity is amazing. Excellent work.

Thanks for all the comments...like others I am also working on a coloured version.

If you have any information about the colour of hair/complexion/clothes (apart from Santa...I've got him covered!) then please let me know so I can make it as realistic as possible.

How DO you do it? Seems like days since I started beating my head on this one, and I've thrown out several false starts already . . . but that's a rank amateur for you! Can't wait to see your colored version.

Mrs. Edwards was a dishwater blond, her son Larry (sitting next to her) was a red head of the lighter ilk. Terry, was the boy in front of santa and I believe he too was a dishwater blond, leaving the last cousin a brown headed lad.
