for the skin i used midtones level to darken, curves and hue saturation level when the color were too saturated(sorry for my english). I increased the magenta. i used many level with step by step retouch to control the image(even the opacity level). I retouched the nose and the lip with liquify to make her more african. the lips i tried to take less saturated than the skin. when you mask the skin you can mask even the hair to darken.
i hope it's enough comprehensible...sigh!
