I'm new to retouchpro and thought I'd have some fun with these challenges. It seemed a good break from the daily grind...
Not sure what to describe, it's pretty straight forward... some clipping, masking, liquifying and color correcting.
The Iguana is actually made up of three iguana images, the tail and hind legs, mid section, and head...
Once the iguana was in place, I created a duplicate state, and created a tritone using sample points from the mids/highs/lows. I then moved the iguana from the tritone state back to the original color space and tweaked the curves on each channel...

Oh, excellent. You totally captured the density and texture of the original image, and chose a great subject to add interest.
Those little girls look like they are having a great time with their pet iguana!
