Photoshop 7 + Wacom Intous 2 Tablet

Created a Fill-Layer, with "Noise", Overlay
Created second "Paint" layer (white)
Create third layer (for brush strokes.
Using Smudge tool (and MANY brushes, sizes, etc (too hard to track all the tablet settings)), I "brushed/stroked" until I had it the way I liked.
I did, at times, go back to the Paint level and added touches here and there.
Added another duplicated Paint layer, Desaturated and ran the Emboss filter on it, (height 1, 500%)
Added another Fill-layer in Overlay mode, filled with brush strokes.
Adjusted opacity and "touched-up" brush stoke areas to remove strokes where needed

This procedure was from the Photoshop 6 WOW book, I had done something previous and really liked the results.

Well, better late than never.

Looks like a lot of work, but worth it, because your brushstrokes look real! Nicely done.

Those brush strokes were powerful enough to see in the small version. Real nice acrylic painting look to it. Excellent job.
