Wheew, this one was tough!
Did some dust and scratches, Lots of Healing brush. Cut out the subject, added new background with blur and sand texture. Lots of Airbrushing, more healing brush and finally some finishing filters.
around 2 hours total time.
Good challenge!

Great work,
The face looks terrific.
I like the fine grain and facial shading.
Good work on the dress.
I don't miss the original background one bit.

Really impressive. The facial contours are great, as is the overall texture.

Howinaheck did you recreate all that hair & eyebrows? Is that the "airbrushing" you mention?

Also, did you do something to change the shape of her mouth? It looks more asymmetrical than in the original, down at the lower left. Wry grin, fine...

Thanks everyone,
obviously I could go on and on with this to even out the skin tone and bring out more contrast, but I just had to move on. To answer Ferdly, I actually didnt do much to the hair besides addding a bit of extra highlights. I did however do some airbrushing on the eyebrows.
